A Glimpse of CibinFEST 2016

Do you want to experience the Romanian version of Oktoberfest? If so, CibinFEST is the place to be these days since Sibiu is providing ten days of extreme fun and entertainment, a place where even the most hard to please can find something interesting to do. The following are a glimpse of the Big Square hosting everything needed for this wonderful festival. As you can see, the photos were taken during the day. You can only imagine what it looks like during the night with all the lights on. If you want to find out, you can pay a visit! Enjoy!

Beautiful Stairway

This stairway is located in the park next to the Citadel's Street. Wouldn't you want to walk down those stairs? Who knows where they will take you? Maybe to an unknown land...

Tunnel Exit

Tunnel Exit

The above photo is a continuation of the one presented in the previous post. Here is a closer look at what you can view when exiting the tunnel and heading towards the Small Square and implicitly to the Liars' Bridge.
On the left, as I mentioned in the previous post, there is the entrance to the Astoria Villa. The persons in charge of the villa have wanted to make the entrance a little more beautiful by adding a touch of nature, i.e. the little trees in the bog pots. I like this as the city centre, in my opinion, needs to be greener. They kinda are in contrast with the naked tree in the middle of the photo.
In the background you can see a hint of the Liars' Bridge which is full of people admiring it. I will post some photos of it in one of the next posts.
The thing that I do not like is the presence of the trash bags next to the naked tree. It was probably a day when the dustmen came and took it. Let us hope it does not stay there all the time...

City Hall

City Hall

The City Hall is located in the heart of the city, right in the Big Square. As you can probably see, it is an imposing building with a beautiful architecture. It is next to the Catholic Church and you can see a part of the church's tower in the photo.

I like it being against such a clear blue sky and how the sun lights it half way just so you can see the flags on it.

And, if you could not tell the time from the photo, it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
