Village Museum

Over the next weeks, I am going to start a mini-series with photos from the Village Museum. This open-air museum is located on Dumbrava forest, about 3 km away from Sibiu. One can get there by car, bus, tramway or even on foot.

The major attraction of the museum is the large number of houses brought there from different parts of the country, keeping all the original elements intact, i.e. they were disassembled in the village they were taken from and assembled back in the Village Museum. In this respect, visitors can see the Romanian folk culture, all in one place.

It is an extremely large museum, occupying an area of 0.96 square kilometers. You can find out more about this museum here.
